Artwork Guidelines
Three rules cover almost everything. If your file breaks one of them we say so in the Proof Room before anything is printed, and most of the time we can fix it ourselves.
Great stickers start with great files. Follow these guidelines and your order will move straight from upload to proof to print — no back-and-forth.
Resolution: 300 DPI or vector
- Raster files (PNG, JPG, PSD) should be 300 DPI at the final print size. A 3″ sticker needs at least 900 × 900 pixels; a 5″ sticker at least 1500 × 1500 pixels.
- Vector files (SVG, PDF, AI, EPS) scale to any size without losing quality — they are the best choice for logos and text.
- Screenshots and images saved from the web are usually 72 DPI and will print blurry. Please send the original artwork whenever possible.
Accepted file formats
We accept PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, AI, EPS and PSD files up to 25 MB. One design per upload. For die-cut stickers, a PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest cut line.
Safe zone: keep 1/8″ clear
Keep all important text, logos and details at least 1/8″ (0.125″) inside the edge of your design. Anything closer to the edge risks being trimmed during cutting.
Bleed: we add it for you
You do not need to add bleed. Our team extends your background color or adds a border automatically, so your design should be supplied at its finished size. If your artwork has a solid background, make sure it is a flat color so the extension is invisible.
Colors
- We print in CMYK. Files in RGB are converted automatically; very bright neon colors may shift slightly.
- For exact brand colors, include the CMYK or Pantone values in the order instructions.
- Avoid very thin lines (under 0.5 pt) and text under 6 pt — they may not print cleanly.
Sizes
Stickers are measured by their longest side and can be anywhere from 1″ to 36″. Choose a preset (2″, 3″, 4″, 5″) or enter a custom width and height in the calculator. Our size guide compares each preset to a real-world object so you can picture it before you order.
Free digital proof
Every artwork order receives a free digital proof by email before anything is printed. Check spelling, colors and the cut line, then approve it (or request changes) from the link in the email or from your account. Production starts within 24 hours of your approval.
