How to Apply Your Stickers

Our vinyl stickers are made to last for years outdoors — waterproof, UV-laminated and dishwasher safe. A few minutes of prep makes sure they stick that long.

1. Clean the surface

Wipe the surface with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol or mild soap and water, then let it dry completely. Dust, oil and old residue are the number-one reason stickers lift at the edges. Avoid glass cleaners with ammonia and any wax or polish.

2. Peel the sticker from the backing

Bend the backing paper and peel it away from the sticker, rather than pulling the sticker off the paper. Handle the sticker by its edges so oil from your fingers stays off the adhesive.

3. Apply from the center outward

Line the sticker up, then press down the center first and work outward toward the edges. This pushes air out instead of trapping it. For larger stickers, apply one half at a time: peel half the backing, stick that half, then peel the rest.

4. Smooth it down

Rub the whole sticker firmly with your thumb or a soft cloth, paying extra attention to the edges. If a small bubble remains, push it toward the nearest edge. Tiny bubbles usually disappear on their own within a few days.

5. Wait 24 hours before washing

The adhesive reaches full strength after about 24 hours. Keep the sticker dry and out of the dishwasher during that time. After that, it is ready for daily use, rain and sunshine.

Tips for tricky surfaces

• Curved surfaces (bottles, helmets): warm the sticker slightly with a hair dryer so the vinyl stretches around the curve.
• Cold weather: apply indoors or above 50 °F (10 °C) — cold adhesive bonds slowly.
• Textured or fabric surfaces: vinyl needs a smooth, non-porous surface. Painted walls, brick and canvas are not recommended.

Removing a sticker

Warm it with a hair dryer, lift one corner and peel slowly at a low angle. Any leftover adhesive comes off with rubbing alcohol or a citrus-based cleaner.
