What's the difference between die cut and kiss cut?
Die cut goes all the way through the backing, so the sticker comes out in its own shape. Kiss cut leaves the sticker on a square of backing — easier to peel, easier to hand out.

Sizes that suit a laptop
A laptop lid is the most visible place a sticker can live, and size decides how it reads. Around 3″ to 4″ is the sweet spot for a single design on a lid — big enough to be recognised across a room or a meeting table, small enough to share the lid with others. This page opens on 4″, the size we label for laptop lids; 2″ fits a corner or the palm rest.
Die cut is the natural choice for laptops: the sticker is cut to the outline of your art, so the lid shows around it and several stickers can sit close together like a collage.

Built for bags and daily handling
Laptops slide in and out of backpacks and sleeves all day, which is hard on the edges of a sticker. Ours are laminated, so the print is protected by a scratch-resistant layer, and the vinyl bends with the surface instead of cracking. Smooth outlines and an even border around the design give the edges nothing to catch on.
The laminate is also waterproof — a spilled drink wipes straight off — and UV resistant, so a laptop that lives by a sunny window does not fade the colours.
Applying and removing
Wipe the lid with rubbing alcohol and let it dry, peel the sticker from a corner touching only the edges, land one edge first and roll the rest down, pressing from the middle out. On a smooth lid you get one confident reposition before the bond starts to set; it reaches full strength in about a day. Keep stickers clear of vents.
When it is time to change the collection, warm the sticker with a hair dryer, lift a corner and pull slowly at a low angle. Leftover adhesive wipes away with rubbing alcohol. On a painted or coated lid, test a small area first.

We print in Itasca, Illinois and hand the parcel to the carrier within 1–3 business days of your approval; standard shipping is free on orders over $100.
Questions about laptop stickers
What size sticker fits a laptop?
Around 3″ to 4″ for a sticker that stands on its own on the lid, and about 2″ for corners and the area beside the trackpad. Any custom size from 1″ to 36″ per side is available.
Will a laptop sticker leave residue when I remove it?
Warm it with a hair dryer and peel it slowly at a low angle. Any adhesive left behind wipes away with rubbing alcohol. On a painted or coated lid, test a small area first.
Can I reposition a laptop sticker?
Once, on a smooth lid, right after placing it. After that the adhesive starts to set and reaches full strength in about a day, so line it up before you press it down.
Will the sticker hold up in a backpack?
Yes. The laminate is scratch resistant and the vinyl flexes instead of cracking. Smooth outlines with an even border wear best on items that slide in and out of bags.
Should I choose clear vinyl for a silver or dark laptop?
Clear vinyl lets the lid show through every part of the design without ink, which looks printed onto the laptop. Light or thin colours can get lost against a dark or metallic lid; the proof note flags any that may.

We say so in the proof and suggest the fix, usually a larger export or the vector original. The short version lives in the artwork guidelines: 300 DPI or vector, 1/8″ safe zone, bleed added by us.

Will the colour match my screen?
Close, but screens glow and ink does not. We print with a calibrated profile and flag anything that will shift noticeably. Ask for a sample pack if an exact match matters.
