What's the difference between die cut and kiss cut?
Die cut goes all the way through the backing, so the sticker comes out in its own shape. Kiss cut leaves the sticker on a square of backing — easier to peel, easier to hand out.

Custom die cut stickers, explained
What a die cut sticker is
A die cut sticker is cut all the way through the vinyl and the backing paper, following the outline of your design. What you peel off is the shape itself — a mascot, a logo, a lettered wordmark — with no square of backing around it. That is why die cut is the default for brand stickers and merch: the sticker reads as the object, not as a label.
You do not have to draw the cut line. We trace it from your artwork with an even border that suits the shape and mark it on your proof, so you see exactly where the blade will go. If you already have a cut path, send it with the file and we will follow it.
Where die cut stickers work best
Laptop lids, water bottles, phone cases, guitar cases, toolboxes, notebooks and shop counters. Because every piece is cut to shape, die cut stickers are the ones people keep and stick somewhere visible, which makes them a good giveaway at events and a good insert in an online order.
Materials, sizes and quantities
Choose Gloss for colours that pop, Matte for a soft, glare-free surface, or Clear vinyl when the surface behind should show through. The vinyl is laminated and rated for three to five years outdoors: waterproof, UV resistant, scratch resistant and dishwasher safe.
Pick a preset from 2″ to 5″ or enter any custom width and height from 1″ to 36″ per side. Orders start at ten pieces with no setup fee and no charge for the cut line, and the price per sticker drops as the run grows.
Getting your artwork ready
Upload PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, AI, EPS or PSD files up to 25 MB. Vector is best; a raster file should be exported at 300 DPI at the size you want printed. Save logos and characters on a transparent background so we cut around the art rather than a white box, and keep anything important about an eighth of an inch inside the edge.
Every order gets a free digital proof in your Proof Room showing the exact size, material and cut line. Changes are free and unlimited, and nothing goes on press until you approve it. We print in Itasca, Illinois and hand the parcel to the carrier within 1–3 business days of your approval; most US orders arrive three to five days after that. Standard shipping is free on orders over $100.
Questions about die cut stickers
What is the difference between die cut and kiss cut stickers?
A die cut sticker is cut through the vinyl and the backing, so it comes out in its own shape. A kiss cut sticker is cut through the vinyl only and stays on a square or rectangle of backing, which makes it easier to peel and to hand out.
Do I need to make the cut line myself?
No. We draw the cut line from your artwork with an offset that suits the shape and mark it on your proof before anything is cut. If you have your own cut path, send it and we will use it.
Can die cut stickers have holes or very thin parts?
Every file is checked by hand before the proof. If a part is too thin to cut and peel cleanly at your size, the proof note says so and suggests a fix, such as a slightly larger size or a thicker border.
How many die cut stickers can I order?
From ten pieces, in steps of ten, on every size and material. The calculator shows the total for each quantity, and the price per sticker roughly halves between 50 and 1,000 pieces.
Are die cut stickers waterproof?
Yes. They are printed on laminated vinyl rated for three to five years outdoors, so they handle rain, sun and the dishwasher. Let the adhesive cure for about a day before the first wash.

We say so in the proof and suggest the fix, usually a larger export or the vector original. The short version lives in the artwork guidelines: 300 DPI or vector, 1/8″ safe zone, bleed added by us.

Will the colour match my screen?
Close, but screens glow and ink does not. We print with a calibrated profile and flag anything that will shift noticeably. Ask for a sample pack if an exact match matters.
