A sticker that lives in the sink

A water bottle is the hardest everyday job a sticker gets: wet hands, condensation, ice, a daily rinse and a regular trip through the dishwasher. Our water bottle stickers are printed on vinyl and sealed under a laminate, so the ink never touches water, and the adhesive holds on smooth stainless steel, glass and hard plastic.

They are dishwasher safe once the adhesive has cured. For the longest life, wash stickered bottles on the top rack on a normal cycle without heated dry — or by hand with mild soap, which is gentlest of all.

Sizes that sit flat on a curve

A bottle curves in one direction, so a sticker that is too wide has to bend around it and its edges work loose over time. Between 2″ and 3″ suits most bottles and tumblers: 3″ is the size we label for bottles, notebooks and mugs, and this page opens on it; 2″ fits slimmer bottles and the narrow part near the cap.

Designs that are taller than they are wide sit best on a cylinder. If your art is wide, choose a smaller size, or enter a custom width and height so the sticker follows the bottle rather than fighting it.

Applying on a curved bottle

Wipe the bottle with rubbing alcohol and let it dry at room temperature — adhesive dislikes being applied below 50°F, so do not stick it straight onto a bottle from the fridge. Peel the sticker from a corner, land the centre first, then smooth outwards along the curve so air is pushed out rather than trapped.

Give it 24 hours before the first wash. Hand-wash for the first day, dishwasher after. A small bubble can be pushed to the nearest edge, and a stubborn one pricked with a pin and pressed flat.

Shape, finish and surface

A smooth die cut outline or a circle has no sharp corners for a sponge to catch, which is why they last longest on bottles. Gloss makes colours bright, matte looks soft and premium, and clear vinyl lets a coloured or steel bottle show through the design.

Smooth bottles give the adhesive the most to hold. Heavily textured, powder-coated finishes leave less contact, so press firmly and allow the full day to cure before washing.
